What is Your Passion ?
What is your passion? My husband has been asking this question repeatedly in the messages he shares from the pulpit, the posts on his Facebook page, and his everyday conversations. What is your passion, and are you pursuing it?
I must admit, I don’t know for sure. Yes, just because my husband is the passion preacher doesn’t mean I have it figured out for myself yet, although I am working on it. Life is so full of change. Sometimes that change leaves you wondering what the next step is.

My passion for the past thirty-something years has been my family. I have been focused on being the best wife, mother, and homeschool teacher I can be. Now that life has moved on and roles are changing, I am left wondering what my answer is to my husband’s question. What is my passion and am I pursuing it?

I have always liked to write. Is it my passion? I seem to go through seasons of writing every day or so, then nothing for weeks or even months. But I do have many articles, thoughts, devotions, and poems all written out and stored on my computer. It seemed like to a good idea to organize them and make a devotional book. I quickly found out that I was in over my head with organizing, editing, and trying to figure out the amazing online publishing platform. HELP!
Why did I think this would be a good idea? My motivation quickly slipped away. I told my husband of my serious lack of motivation.
“If nothing else, you should pursue it as a gift for the children. They would treasure the ramblings of their mother,” he said.

A light flickered on. I am not the visionary, planning to reach the multitudes with my little devotional. However, I can get excited about putting together all my writings for my children and grandchildren. My passion is and always has been family. I am not trying to reach the multitudes, but if I do, we will know that God is a miracle working God.

My passion is fulfilled as I share what God has done in my life with my friends, family, children, and grandchildren. A chuckle, a memory, and maybe even a tear, and we will remember that God is always faithful. I hope you guys have enjoyed this little book. Maybe you will even want to read it again some time.

One more thing: what is your passion and are you pursuing it?
